Every decision we make in council begins with a simple question: does this strengthen Chelsea’s future? My priorities reflect what I hear from residents. What matters most, what we can do better, and how we’ll keep improving together.
Chelsea in 2030 will remain a village with a rural heart, but one that continues to grow into a complete community. Not large, but balanced. Where families can live and work here without depending entirely on Gatineau or Ottawa. Services will be close to home. Our village centre will be vibrant and walkable. Our environment will be protected. Growth will be carefully planned so our children and grandchildren can thrive here.
I know some residents have concerns about growth, and I share the desire to keep Chelsea’s unique character intact. That’s exactly why we’ve invested so much effort in our new Plan d’urbanisme. It’s one of the most thoughtful and forward-looking urban plans in the province. It was built through consultation, guided by data, and designed to ensure that every decision about development respects our scale, our infrastructure, and our environment. I am very proud of that plan.
Chelsea will never become a sprawling suburb. That’s not who we are. Thoughtful, measured growth is how we protect our village heart, support local services, and make sure future generations can afford to live here.
This is not about short-term promises. It’s about protecting our heritage and planning, carefully and deliberately, the Chelsea of tomorrow, centred on residents’ needs and wants, while maintaining balanced budgets as we have done.
This is my vision. If it resonates with you — if it excites you — I hope you’ll join me in making it happen. Together, we can keep building a Chelsea we’re all proud to call home.
We’ll continue managing Chelsea’s finances with care and transparency, making every dollar count, investing where it matters, and protecting taxpayers from unnecessary costs. Strategic planning, sound budgeting, and disciplined spending will remain the foundation of everything we do.
Strong communities need strong local services. We’ll keep improving access to health care, education, recreation, and daily essentials right here in Chelsea so that residents can live, work, and thrive close to home. We’ll also keep building on innovations like the Pivot app, which make our municipal work more transparent and keep residents informed every step of the way.
Safety is built, not assumed. We’ll keep investing in safer roads, stronger emergency readiness, and close partnerships with community policing, ensuring Chelsea stays secure, resilient, and prepared for whatever comes next.
Protecting Chelsea’s natural beauty is a shared responsibility. We’ll continue advancing clean-water protection, sustainable development, and climate resilience, planning growth that honours our landscape and safeguards it for generations to come.
Mobility should be safe, accessible, and connected. We’ll expand paths and cycling routes, improve walkability, and plan with people in mind, linking neighbourhoods, services, and green spaces so every journey through Chelsea feels local and sustainable.
Well-being is part of community life. We’ll support recreation, sports, and cultural spaces that bring people together, creating opportunities for all ages to play, connect, and celebrate the spirit of Chelsea.
Real progress comes from working together — residents, council, and our municipal team, each doing our part. These priorities are a shared plan for what’s next: thoughtful growth, stronger services, and a community we’re proud to call home. I look forward to continuing this work, together.
